Corruption and Access to Socio-Economic Services in Africa

Corruption is one of the world’s most widespread political problems. It can be found on international, national and sub-national level. Access to education other socio-economic services utmost importance for all humans. still not exclusively based merit, but often rather unfairly distributed allocated depending corrupt local bureaucrats. We utilize a micro level measure corruption personal experiences individuals, which realistically represents linkage between individuals public office holders. For empirical analysis, we utilized Afrobarometer survey 36 African countries that contains information more than 50,000 citizens. being negatively correlated with access water, education, health paved roads, while positively associated sewage system having no significant association electricity grid. The findings reveal in order expand basic socioeconomic services, governments need control offices daily basis.
